During word work, my students experiment with spelling patterns, memorizing high-frequency words, and developing a general curiosity for and interest in new and unique words. By playing with words, word patterns, and word families, students home their knowledge of words and increase their reading, writing, and speaking skills.
A consistent variety of materials such as letter tiles, magnetic sight words, and dry erase tools will help to create engaging and enjoyable word work practice opportunities for students in the classroom and at home.
These materials are essential whether we are learning in the classroom or at home and can be reused for many years to come.
Thank you so much for believing in my project and helping my students to get the crucial supplies they need as they continue to grow as readers and writers!
