All students like choices that allow them to have ownership of their learning. By providing different modes of seating for the students, I plan to help students find success in whichever seating option they choose. My students often have short attention spans, and the fidgets and sensory tools will increase student focus, motivation and success.
By donating to this project, students will have access to tools that will increase focus and engagement in the classroom.
My goal is to increase the amount of time students spend in the classroom. Many times when sensory needs are not met in the classroom, students begin to exhibit behaviors that cause them to be removed from the classroom. When students are not in the classroom, they are not learning or enjoying their education. By providing alternate sensory items and seating choices, I plan to increase the amount of time students are in the classroom and increase engagement.
