The students create their own business and their own product/service. They learn about economics and currency. They work on soft skills as they work in a business environment through the learning process. The craft supplies will allow them to create their own product/service without as much monetary output. These are purchased with their own currency system, and in this way students do not have to have actual "dollars" to purchase their ingredents for products/services.
Students also build tetrahedron kites, and we always have trouble getting all of the supplies needed. All of these supplies will help students to create these kites. It is a following written directions activity that is a cooperative/collaborative environment.
