These clock manipulatives really do acknowledge the fact that on real clocks, as you're getting closer to that next hour, the hour hand is moving proportionately closer to that next hour even when the idea is confusing. This is hard to see one paper ot when drawing on a whiteboard.
By allowing students the opportunity to use the clocks they can not only see how time moves but it will also give them a more concrete understanding on how to use and read clocks in our daily lives when digital isn't available.
