The items requested for this project will help students create and print beautiful work. Students get more excited about their digital work, when they can print it out and see what they have created and when creating non-digital projects, they want color to bring it to life. I have been limited in using color in class because of the cost, and have had to rely on students being able to print items at home, which leaves some students out, having to use the black and white I am able to offer. Being able to scan work and projects will let us, together, create a digital portfolio students and parents will be able to view and share. Students will have access to this portfolio and will be able to work, share and collaborate with one another on their projects. These items will help the students be excited about what they are producing and have a more active engagement in their own education.
