Support Ms. Owusu's classroom with a gift that fosters learning.
Our classroom is home to 18 bright and resilient first and second graders who come to school eager to learn, grow, and dream big. Many of our students come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, and while they face significant challenges outside of school, they bring incredible curiosity and determination to the classroom each day .Our students are working hard to build foundational skills in reading, writing, and math. However, when their basic needs aren’t met at home, it can be difficult for them to fully focus and thrive academically. We strive to make our classroom a safe, nurturing space where every child feels supported, valued, and ready to learn. This year is especially meaningful as it will be the last year our school is open. The district has made the difficult decision to close our school in May. Our goal is to make this final year a positive and memorable one for our students.
