Coming out of a tough school year with COVID-19, I'm planning for an extra special year for my Kinders this coming school year. These items have been on my classroom wish list for a few years. The big books in our classroom are well loved by my students, but are getting damaged because they don't have a place to live that fits them so they are left laying out - hence the need for big book storage. The magnetic erase boards are a fun new way for my students to practice letter formation as well as spelling. The puzzles in my classroom are also well loved, however, many were hand me downs that were already missing pieces. Puzzles are such an important way to learn through play - spatial reasoning, parts of a whole, how shapes work together, not to mention patience and resilience. Magnatiles are another great way to learn through play that I would love for my students to have. They will be able to practice colors, shapes, as well as fine motor and engineering concepts.
