The use of book bins in a classroom is essential. Book bins allow students to store reading materials in their own personal areas. These bins allow students to have their own area for things that so many lack at home. This way they can keep their materials safe and organized.
Our school is in a low-income area and a lot of these kindergarteners coming in have not had access to books; with this being said they need durable materials as they learn about books and how we treat them. Once students know how to treat and use them they can develop a LOVE for reading and really dig into books. The donations to this project will help to improve my students' knowledge and love for reading grow!
