Make a donation Mrs. Gershkowitz can use on her next classroom project.
Your donation will grow our garden to prepare for our 2nd year's harvest. The garden club will expand to 3rd and fourth graders and will run during the two semesters of school with fifteen members each semester.
Students will meet twice a week to plant, complete fun science projects, plan out our harvest, and learn about the environment of our campus! These tasks will teach our students the power of growing their own food and the pride that comes with understanding the process from seed to table. Students will experience nutritious fruits and vegetables that they may have not tried before and share their findings and opinions with the group. Each time our club meets we will also work with our garden notebooks as a tool to track, plan, and record our scientific findings. Students will get to further apply their skills in both math and science.
