My classroom is in need of flexible seating. During independent work times, they choose a location in the classroom that works for them. Currently, my students are choosing to work in a variety of locations in our room such as: at different desks, sitting under desks with clipboards, or sitting in my classroom library. I want to have seating that is comfortable and motivates my students to take charge of their own learning. They almost always make good choices about where they sit, are more engaged, and get more work completed than when they have autonomy of where they sit. I have also included classroom supplies and an easel on our wishlist. These supplies will allow me to have more flexibility when teaching. The basic supplies will provide my students with tools to support their learning this year!
