This project is all about creating functional stations and group activities. There are many moving parts within a classroom, and I believe that the more organized, cohesive, adaptable, and exploratory my classroom can be, the more my students will succeed. Resources such as whiteboards, display cases, or bins in which to store their headphones or math manipulatives for easy access, are a few of the materials that aide in math and reading stations. I also like to include fun and exploratory games in my math stations such as Kanoodle or IQ Circuit, and accessible math problems on cards. Students also do well when they know exactly where to work, and how to move about the classroom. The velcro dots and carpet tape will help with these transitional elements.
I created this project in order to offer my students the best learning environment possible, where they can come and feel ready to learn with accessible tools, games, and systems that help them succeed!
