I will be teaching a new grade level in the fall and these books will go toward my new second grade classroom library. Kids love to read books in a series so I’ve included series for young readers, as well as high interest non-fiction books to peak their interest about the natural world.
I’m excited to use the beautiful picture books as read alouds to share lessons about kindness and other important traits that help children build friendships. Many of the students will be returning to learn in person for the first time in a year and we’ll be spending a lot of time on socialization and working together!
