All of my students are multilingual learners who are working towards becoming fluent English speakers.
Creating a comfortable and nurturing learning environment is essential in supporting English Language development. The large classroom rug and stools will allow me to facilitate many different learning opportunities for my students. This space will give us an engaging area where we will conduct our daily morning meetings. These meetings give students opportunities to comfortably practice communication skills in English, as well as foster social emotional learning.
In addition, this space will be used to conduct collaborative group activities, where students can comfortably sit, discuss, and share with their peers. Finally, this space will be perfect for conducing Socratic circles, where students engage in meaningful and in depth discussions about important topics.
