I've used a couple of the Little Spot Of... books with my students in the past and they really enjoyed them. This book series tackles social emotional learning in a way that is fun and developmentally appropriate for young kids. I want to add the "Little Spots" to our daily circles. I'm hoping this book series will allow me to address the social development and mental health needs of my students after an incredibly challenging year for all of us.
I believe that students learn best when they are emotionally and physically comfortable. In the past, I've invested a lot of my own money to create a welcoming and organized classroom, offering flexible seating. The reality of Covid-19 sent us back to desks and non-shared supplies. Storage is an issue in my small classroom and large student numbers. Pocket chairs will provide much needed storage for students individual supplies!
