My students are in grades K-5. Our classroom is self-contained and my students have special needs. The materials that I am requesting will help set my students up for a successful school year not only academically but socially and emotionally as well. My students thrive on positive reinforcement and praise. Our classroom runs on a token economy that allows students to "purchase" items with the "classroom cash" that they have earned throughout the day. Some of the items that I am requesting may seem like toys but allow my students the opportunity to using their calming strategies to get into the right mindset for the school day.
These items will help my students succeed during the school day and throughout the school year.
