A classroom carpet is one of the most important places in a classroom. It is here that students learn about each other, share their experiences, and learn. This year upcoming year, we don't have a rainbow rug to use in our classroom, but I would love the opportunity to provide this wonderful space for my students.
Our carpet is where we come together to start our days with morning meetings, have check ins, enjoy read alouds, share our ideas and foster our classroom community.
Having a dedicated rug space will give my students a place where they all know that they are welcomed and needed, while still maintaining engagement with our lessons and activities.
