My job as a fifth-grade teacher is to prepare my students for college and career readiness. The hurdle is that many jobs/careers my students will be choosing from do not even exist yet! How am I supposed to prepare my students for careers that don't yet exist? One way is to give them explicit and authentic experiences and tasks to develop some key skills known as the SIX C's. Character, citizenship, collaboration, creativity, critical thinking, and communication can be taught both explicitly AND authentically with STEM materials!!! Please help me provide my students with these materials!!!
