Every morning our school's Student Council Executive Board enter my classroom to work on a variety of projects. This includes making posters, creating homecoming decorations, planning fun events, etc. However, there is one thing that holds my students back from completing their tasks effectively. Our biggest need is a newer desktop computer that will allow us to complete our projects efficiently.
Up-to-date technology is an important part of a current high school classroom, and mine is lacking just that. I would like to provide equipment that my students can use to complete all of the tasks that they envision for the year. The computer that would be the most versatile for my student council members would be an Apple iMac. This device would allow my students to use iMovie to create stunning videos for our campus. They could also create dynamic posters and flyers in high definition. My students could even use the airplay function to display their project on our projector using our AppleTV.
This year my students' goal is to promote a fun yet safe culture in our school. Their ideas and ambition are limitless. All they lack are the necessary tools to see these to fruition.
