After COVID restrictions at last school year, I want to give my students the opportunity to safely share hands-on activities each morning when they arrive to school.
Materials such as building sets and geoboards will help them activate their thinking and develop their fine motor skills. I will use lessons and activities obtained from Teachers Pay Teachers to create the activities. These activities will also encourage sharing and team work. My first grade dual language students will also develop their English and Spanish vocabulary as they work with their peers. The students need time away from their technology devices to focus on these hands-on activities that will promote critical thinking skills and problem solving skills.
