6th graders can be hard to engage. I want to create areas in my classroom for them to get comfortable and work together. My project includes creating small areas of the room with small carpets, beanbags and fun chairs so that students can get comfortable while completing tasks. My students will have fun while actively participating in class! Creating a fun atmosphere will help keep my 6th graders motivated and willing to complete assignments. Older elementary students respond best in the classroom when they are able to make choices for themselves and move about the room. I hope that by completing this project, I am able to give them the classroom of their dreams! They deserve it.
