I will use these books to teach comprehension lessons. In my district literacy is very important. This an area of growth for most of my students. Comprehension is a vital part of children learning to read. I want to expose my students to as many high quality books as possible. I enjoy introducing these books to them. They are so excited about them. They can relate to there own lives and make connections. For this reason I like to use turn and talk after we have read, and discuss parts of the book with a classmate. You will be surprised sometimes at the things they pull out of the story.
