Being able to provide a carpet in our classroom will allow students to have a sense of community while sitting together in that area. It will double as a learning space, but also somewhere that students can connect with each other, or have some alone time to read or process their emotions and feelings.
This carpet will be used as our meeting space during literacy block for read aloud, circle time which dives into social emotional learning and sharing the highlight of our day with one another, and even connecting while reviewing daily math concepts.
