These books will bring the enjoyment and love of reading that I strive to create everyday in my classroom. Being that I am a third year teacher, I am still quite new and do not have a classroom library of my own. I have been borrowing books from my fantastic coworkers, but my students need a classroom library of their very own. My reading corner is a place that my students absolutely adore! Every student book that is placed in my library is treated with love and care, and they are thankful for the opportunities to read. My students will be able to choose books that they enjoy and peaks their curiosity. With the new reading materials my students will be able to expand their selection of paper explorations!
The best way to expand a students mind and promote a life long relationship with reading is through providing a diverse selection for students to find the genre of book that calls to them. They will also be able to read their books in our lights out for literacy hour where my students find a quiet place, and use flashlights to read their new book in the dark.
