All of our students want a safe space to come to at school, and the classroom should be just that. After a very long fully virtual school year, I am excited to be welcoming new 2nd grade scholars to my classroom! This year, I will have both general education and special needs students. Due to the current health and mitigation strategies that are in place, my students will be unable to share any class supplies, or use the water fountain. My goal is to provide my students with socially distanced flexible seating, as well as personalized supplies such as water bottles, pencil boxes and more that will be made with the Circuit Machine and vinyl.
This year, I want to make the transition back into the classroom as comfortable as possible for my students by giving them flexible seating options and making personalized back to schools kits. Students have spent most of their virtual school year at home and learning from their beds or on their couches. I would love flexible seating options for my students so that they can learn where they are most comfortable. I would also love to make them personalized back to school kits since they will be unable to share items for health and safety reasons.
