I am requesting books to add to our classroom library. The only way to become a better reader, is to read. If you have a negative disposition towards reading, the key to changing that is developing a positive disposition. The way to develop a positive disposition, is fostering a love of reading by exposing students to authentic and representative texts. The titles I have selected are purposefully chosen to grow my students' love of reading and consequently improve their reading skills. I believe the high interest level of these books will have a profound impact on their desire to read.
