After being a stay-at-home mom for several years, I'm returning to the classroom and starting from scratch with creating a warm and inviting space to meet the needs of all my students. When children have access to flexible seating while learning and working, it enables them to wobble, rock, bounce, lean or stand, which increases oxygen flow to the brain and blood flow. Flexible seating also makes learning more fun and creates more excitement along with a community feel in the classroom. These seating options will be used for guided reading groups, independent reading around the classroom, and other times depending on individual student needs.
