I want my students to see themselves in what they are learning.
The students that make up my classes are very diverse, and I want them to see, read, and hear diversity in the classroom. Creating a new classroom takes time and supplies. I have been supplying the time, but I need to supply my students with more variety in visuals, books, and active learning supplies such as seating, books, cultural artifacts, and a color printer. These supplies will allow students to bring their ideas to fruition and provide creative hands-on learning in the classroom.
I want my students to not only look forward to coming to class but to contribute their ideas and the creativity that only Junior High students can give.
