Make a donation Mrs. Reyes Oda can use on her next classroom project.
For students returning to in class learning, this will help with social distancing. I will be able to show examples of math problems with the iPad and on the projector instead of needing to be up in front, up close to the students. This will allow me to record and make copies of my work to save and send to kids who are absent. Attendance is an issue. There are several math applications that are used for both Algebra 2 and Trigonometry that can be best shown on the iPad.
The donation to this project is to create positive math experiences after a year of COVID closures, on/off distance learning, and to give access to technology that is normally a given-at private schools.
I want to make sure that just because this is one of the lower income areas on the island, that does not equate to low quality instruction. The kids will start to think that it means we don't believe in them before anyone even speaks.
I believe math is for everyone at my school and you can be good at it too. Let me show the kids that when they walk in, I am serious about some math problems.
