A literacy rich environment is critical for reading development. Books give students the opportunity to escape to lands rich with adventure. To meet friends from all over the world and see places they have never seen. Seeing the social emotional interactions between different characters helps them see ways to interact appropriately with each other. Seeing the imaginary worlds that the characters live in help them build their own imaginations. Building a love of reading early on in a child’s life will build a love of reading for the rest of their lives!

About my class
