While first graders are learning to read, they are also learning to listen and comprehend what is being read to them. The books I have requested will be used to develop and strengthen my students reading comprehension.
Weekly read-aloud books with activities! I do the reading and the students do the thinking. During this time students learn comprehension strategies such as predicting, visualizing, retelling, connecting, inferring, opinion writing, and so much more.
It would be a blessing to have these books in my class for students to hold and view.
