The books selected for this project will be used in a variety of ways. First, as a read aloud students will be asked to make connections share their point of view, make predictions, analyze characters, and apply a variety of other reading comprehension strategies.
Second, after close analysis of each book students' understanding and ability to incorporate reading and writing strategies into their own work will enhanced.
Finally, books will be placed in the shared book box so students can reread them during literacy center times with the goal of creating life long readers.
