As we approach the 2021-2022 school year, many of my newly Kindergarten students have never experienced a school setting due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This year more than ever us educators will need to focus on our students’ social/emotional well being. For the upcoming school year I would like to add flexible seating to my classroom. Flexible seating will not only help students make a connection to the comforts they had from remote learning, but will also promote learning abilities while completing assignments. The newly seating will be used in our “cozy corner” where children can take a break if needed to adjust their feelings. Flexible seating will also be used at our small group table where children will focus on specific skills for reading and writing.
