The upper grades will begin their first ukulele lessons with actual instruments. Sharing 7 ukuleles with 30 5th graders in one class is impossible. I recently have to borrow ukuleles from another school for only a few weeks. A student needs more than 3 times to develop any skills. I am grateful that other schools share when they can. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student love for music and learning, you will ultimately help to increase their attention, fine motor skills, cooperation, and reading/memory skills.
Our school is small but we have a lot of potential to start ukulele clubs, perform for parents and peers, and develop deeper relationships with their families.
