I am requesting great stories to read, games to help them retain concepts, and posters to use as reference in class. These resources will support the following standards: W.8.3 RL 8.2 RL 8.3 RL 8.4 RL 8.6 SL 8.1 L 8.1 and 8.2 Access to these materials in my classroom will allow the students to continue to strengthen their knowledge of literary terms and genres while increasing reading and writing stamina. The books will be used in small group literature circles in which each student will have a job to contribute to the understanding of the plot structures and theme. The games will be used during stations to supplement the skills that have been taught in whole group lessons with the help of the classroom posters.
