I am a new teacher at my amazing school, heading into my second year. There are many needed items. All of these materials I am cheering on towards will make our classroom magical. It is my premier goal to make sure that every scholar that enters the room feels welcomed, loved, and special. From the whiteboards to the special chairs and items for those scholars that have anxiety or special needs to games to phonics support to watercolor paint are all-inclusive of every child's deserved equity in the classroom. Inviting my scholars to join their friends for our "Morning Meeting" on their own mat, (instead of sitting on a cold floor) connects the community and provides Social Emotional Learning at the beginning of their day. Also, I would love to share with my other two kindergarten teachers to help make their classrooms inclusive of equity as well. It's just that simple.
By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement and future. Students will be able to simply focus on the academic materials at hand, and not whether their materials are going to work or not. Plus in this technology literate world, any interaction with games and updated technology will increase their literacy as well as their desire to enjoy the love of learning. Thank you!
