Traditional seating, in a hard chair and desk, often isn’t the best option for some students. This is especially true for students with health issues. I often encourage my students to work together, and flexible seating offers them choices in how and where to do that. I envision students collaborating on the floor using the floor seats and short table, and others sitting together on the curved couch. Still others might be using their traditional desks, but are seated in wobble chairs. Another reason that this seating is so great is that it is bright and colorful, and students are drawn to it. Learning is so much more fun if you are in an appealing space!
