I am so excited to offer my kindergarten kiddos an opportunity to learn through play. My students are very social and imaginative. They also love to use their hands and be messy!
My plan is to provide a special sensory area for exploration and investigation throughout our week. I would love to use the sand and water table as part of our Center Time. I can imagine a small group of students gathered around the table sorting items, filling and spilling bowls of beads and other little treasures and using their problem solving skills.
I will change out the items in the table as our weekly and monthly themes change. This will help with student engagement and keep us motivated in our learning.
Most importantly I picture my kinder kids cooperating and HAVING FUN as they learn.
