I am hoping to develop a kind and caring classroom community through carefully selected picture books thanks to The Ramped-Up Read Aloud. The Ramped-Up Read Aloud by Maria Walther will help students understand our literacy AND social-emotional learning concepts! These books will allow current and future students to learn about classroom community, literacy elements for fiction and non-fiction texts, comprehension strategies, foundational reading skills, and develop their writing. I hope by using picture books it will encourage students to connect more easily with some of the tough concepts they will be introduced to this year.

About my class
