The rug will be used for our morning meeting times, mini-lessons, and small group time. The students will also use the rug for center time, independent work time, and to read and write independently. I will be able to share songs and read their favorite books while they sit on the carpet/rug. The students can play games and practice letter sounds which will help them to excel in reading and writing. The numbers on the rug are excellent for helping them to recognize numbers, counting objects, and for adding and subtracting.
