These books and literacy supplies will continue to enhance the positive reading environment I strive to create through exposure and building confidence. I strive to cultivate a love for reading in my classroom by providing students with a diverse selection of books to look at, read, and listen to. Read-alouds are something we treasure as a class and look forward to every day. All of the books were chosen with my students' best interests in mind. We focus on Social-Emotional skills and these books each provide my students with life lessons through fun characters.
With these new books and literacy supplies, my students will be able to choose from a variety of engaging materials during reading rotations that will build their confidence and allow them to read independently on their grade level.
They will be able to choose books and stations that interest them. The best way to increase reading ability is by exposure and reading more. Providing students with different choices and letting them be in control of their stations will also make reading less monotonous.
