These items will help our students by adding to our already existing motor lab by adding sensory swings and bins to aid in their development. Studies show that sensory play can help students with sensory disorders such as ADHD and autism improve motor skills and communication while also helping minimize meltdowns. My goal is to utilize these hammock swings and stands to provide a calming place for our students when they are in need of a break or just need some calming time. Sensory bins including water beads and toys will help our students with tactile play as well as sorting and cooperation with peers.
