My students cannot afford to purchase their own copies of reading materials. Most of "class sets" of books I have are missing copies so I have to rely on books that are available for free digitally.
My students have had nothing but digital texts for the last year and a half; this project gives them the opportunity to read a tangible book. Having these books will improve their overall classroom experience because they can read more high interest books. Additionally, it put my students on a more level playing field with the students who can afford to buy their own copies of books.
