These materials will help fund our very first science club at Village Oaks Elementary. Having a science club will be a rewarding experience for the students. They will be able to participate in a science fair and showcase their very own experiment that they will conduct to their peers and school community. Since majority of our students are from low income families, materials like the science boards will assist and cut cost for them not having to worry about purchasing a board to complete their project.
In our science club, students will have the opportunity to explore, investigate and conduct research that will build their knowledge in the world of science. These materials will make a difference in our students learning because it will be used to engage the students in hands on lab activities and also give them a real life experience of what it's like to be a scientist in their lab coats and safety gear. Through our science club, the goal will be to teach the students the importance of science and encourage them to explore it more as they grow.
