My 5th grade students are a very diverse group of creative kids. We attend school in South Carolina, and have a lot of pride in our school, and in our tight-knit community. Our school is a public Title 1 school, which means the majority of our students come from low socioeconomic backgrounds. My students work real hard, and most of them love to write, but struggle with the process.
