My students learn best with items they can touch, feel and experience. They are facing many obstacles including intellectual, physical and communication challenges. By providing them with science and math manipulatives I have selected for them, they have a better opportunity for learning.
These tools will help the lessons come alive and help the student to better understand the lessons being taught. Students will learn to tell time with the clock manipulative. They will learn about the solar system with the solar system models. They will help build and engine and learn about our world with the globe. They will learn about fossils and geodes with the fossil kits. They will explore their world with the microscopes and the magnifying glasses.
Basically, these tools will give my students the opportunities to learn in the best way they possibly can.
