I believe that freeing up floor space is a must. I currently have a media cart that houses a projector, speakers, and my computer. It sits directly in the middle of my classroom and seems to cause cramping that isn't ideal for a creative and productive classroom. My goal is to obtain a TV Screen and Soundbar that can be mounted up and out of the way on the wall. This will allow me to no longer need a media cart directly in the middle of the room, taking up too much valuable floor space.
With a new TV Screen and a Soundbar, I can space out my seating for my students and free up so much floor space that can be used for large class activities. I plan to utilize technology to push my classroom to a new age, much like the students are seeing daily with the devices they interact with. The TV and Soundbar can be mounted out of the way while students then can utilize more floor space for working on assignments and working in groups to complete assignments.
I feel as though my media cart is outdated, and the projector, projector screen, and speaker setup causes a loss in presentations. They are very limited and don't allow the full use of my classroom for full student engagement.
