Students come to class on a variety of reading levels, but one thing is for sure, they all love graphic novels. Graphic novels are a new trend in Young Adult Literature. There are all different types from sports to history, to science and much more to grab students' interest. Graphic novels give kids a chance who are not interested in reading to see the magic in a great story come to life by characters through dialogue. Graphic novels also help students read above their normal reading level since the text is so engaging and can be supported through dialogue and pictures. For struggling readers, it is a great place to start!
