As we make the transition back to live learning, our school is proactively trying to make learning as engaging and relevant for all our students. It's our job to make sure that the Chromebooks that they've been given during the pandemic are put to the best use both inside and outside of the classroom.
With a class set of headphones, our students will get back into the habit of practicing listening to learn from each other and outside resources! We plan to have students watch and listen to various videos during class that are relevant to their lives, culture and communities. We also plan on having our students practice recording themselves make claims and justify their perspectives on relevant topics in class, listening to themselves to revise their stance if needed, listen to their peers to give feedback, and further revise their arguments.
