My students and I pride ourselves on the classroom community we create together each year. My students from my past years come back and visit frequently and many are still friends with others from our classroom family. Although we have always created an amazing family together in the classroom, my goal this year is to be very intentional in creating a mental health positive and culturally inclusive classroom environment with my students entering third grade this year.
In order to do this I am asking for your help to build my classroom library. Read alouds, picture books and mentor texts are an amazing way to stimulate conversations, start discussions, and make sure all students no matter their backgrounds feel welcome in the classroom. I have spent countless hours creating a list of the most popular and widely recommended books by teachers and parents to bring into my classroom library to help me and my students create this environment.
With that being said, I would like to thank you in advance for considering donating to my classroom family.
