I am asking for theses supplies so my students can have more center materials at independent centers. At literacy center time in kindergarten, students are practicing skills we have learned in whole group. While I am conducting reading groups, students are working independently or with another classmate on reading skills.
Reading simple words is one important skill for kindergarten students to learn. The word making activities I have asked for will really help students make words and read words in a fun engaging way. Having the material already made will save me time to focus more on students.
I am also asking for some social emotional books and spanish vocabulary books. Many of my students come to school with emotional needs and reading books and being able to vocalize their feelings helps them deal with their feelings. I also have many spanish speaking students, so having more books in their native language makes them feel more included and validated and the other students love learning a new language and helps them relate better to the spanish speaking students.
